I have been a stay at home mom for 7 1/2 years. During that time, I have cared for my 2 children (ages 7 and 9) and my elderly father with dementia. One of my kiddos is a Type 1 Diabetic. I worked for a great family for a year watching their little boy. I had to stop due to the demands of my fathers care. I still remain in touch with the family. My kids always though he was a cousin; we love him dearly. I do substitute for the school nurse at my children’s school. I assist in small first aid and giving medications. I contact parents and teachers when there is an issue with their student. I am the number one diabetic support. Prior to staying home, I worked as a store manger for several notable retailers and also, worked as a bank manager.
