Hello! I am expecting my 4th child around the end of September, and am looking to provide childcare in my home for another family! I previously worked as a nanny for 6 years, caring for multiple infants, toddlers, and pre-school aged children along with my own. This arrangement provides a family style setting, built-in playmates to socialize with, and enables me to provide your child with more attentive and personalized care than a daycare setting. I have an extensive educational and employment background in childcare, including coursework in elementary education and a Master of Social Work degree and clinical licensure (LCSW). I took on a nanny role after my 1st child was born, and went on to care for 6 infants/toddlers over a 6 year period from 3 different families. When caring for infants, I tailor my techniques to best fit the child's needs (baby wearing, stroller walks for nap Read more time, rocking to sleep, etc). I am a strong believer in connected and conscious parenting, I exercise patience and unconditional positive regard, provide explorative learning opportunities, prioritize co-regulation, and utilize scaffolding to aid in social skills development. I also have experience with elementary aged children as an aftercare and camp counselor. I am currently employed as a Behavioral Health Professional teaching Skills for Life and Learning to pre-school and elementary students. I am looking to transition back into nannying as I welcome my 4th child!
