I love children and I am passionate about childcare. I have enjoyed being a nanny and babysitter for infant to eleven-year-old children, for seven years. My experience includes multiple children and twins. As a nanny, I cared for a child from six months to 3.5 years. My service included preparing meals, laundry, light housekeeping, shopping, errands, school transportation, outings and all aspects of childcare. I also helped with household management needs, pet care and preparing for parties. Providing care during travel was an enjoyable experience. Recently, I was a nanny for three children 1, 3, and 5 years old. Responsibilities included all aspects of childcare, homework help, laundry and light housekeeping. I still provide care for date nights. As a former elementary school teacher, I was certified for thirty-five years and achieved Highly Qualified Teacher Status. It was a pleasure to teach pre-school, kindergarten, grades one - six, be a Read more school librarian and teach children with special needs. My work in summer school and after school programs included planning activities, field trips and swimming. My background and experience have given me a solid knowledge of child growth and development. It is enjoyable to plan fun play and educational activities that meet the child's needs and interests. I work to strengthen children's confidence, independence and build self-esteem. I strive to encourage the excitement of learning, a love of reading and being kind, polite, respectful, safe and caring. It is wonderful to be a part of helping children reach their highest potential. I am cheerful, energetic, kind and have a good sense of humor. My strengths include being nurturing, loving, patient, positive and creative. I have strong work ethics that include being loyal, reliable, flexible, hardworking, proactive, trustworthy and service focused. My experience helped me develop strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills and I multitask well. I am discreet, confidential and respect parent privacy. I enjoy working as a team with parents and household staff. I have an excellent background/driving records. I am CPR/AED and First Aid certified. I enjoy pets and I am a non-smoker. My interests include enjoying nature, playing ukulele, reading, raising butterflies, arts and crafts, baking, travel and learning new things.
