Hi! My name is Madelyn. I am a science educator with 10+ years of experience teaching in after school programs, school garden programs and the NYC DOE. I have a Master's degree in teaching Earth Science. I've provided childcare professionally since I was 12 years old and have experience as a camp counselor at YMCA sleepover camps and more recently at Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls here in NYC. I am a strong swimmer, a former lifeguard, a trained herbalist and an avid gardener. I have three nephews (ages 2, 7 and 12) for whom I frequently provide childcare. I LOVE working with children and facilitating fun and educational experiences for them. I am especially interested in fostering a love of hands on science , the natural world and the arts in the young people I work with.
