Meet Mary

Hello! I’m a seasoned educator with a BS in Elementary Education and over 20 years experience teaching infants, toddlers, preschool, elementary and special needs children. I’ve also been a long-term nanny to several wonderful families. I’m trained in Respectful Parenting and a certified Breathe 4 Change instructor (a yoga and mindfulness program designed for educators). I’ve received CPR training and the COVID vaccination. I’m mature, but active. I run, jump, dance, etc. with the children I care for and hike, bike, and jog the UF stadium steps with my husband. I believe that learning should be natural and fun, and that it can be integrated into everyday activities and play. A child’s work is is to explore the world and community around them and to see themselves as a “Can Do Kid”. I see my role as a facilitator, an information organizer, and a witness to the wonder of childhood.
