Tasks for basic caring include but are not limited to getting ready for school, transporting (pickups, drop-offs, sports practice), potty training, play dates, help with homework, snacks, naptime, playtime/lessons (reading & crafts), introducing good manners & etiquette, etc. I also have attained knowledge with assisting in caring for senior citizens through the SYEP (Summer Youth Employment Program) at The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center during the summer of 2017. I was a Recreational Aid for the residents/patients, which means I would decorate/host programs, transport them to/from their rooms, help a handful of them perform tasks for an activity (arts & crafts) like movement with arms/hands, describe colors/materials, aim towards the completion of the activity. To conclude with my background of caring, I would like to add that I have gained expertise with the tending of dogs big/small, husky/thin, young/old and of all types of breeds. The lengthiest time span of boarding a dog into my house was for 4 consecutive months, which occurred around the Spring season of 2015. The most recent act of me watching over dogs has been while being a dog walker, where I serviced 200 different dogs in a matter of 2 months, throughout all of Manhattan. I've had the greatest pleasure of being able to fulfill each opportunity that respectively had their individual hardships & responsibilities, that I was capable & suitable of complying with and I would not take it back for the world!

My name is Robin and I'm a 57 year old mom of 2. My daughters are 40 and 12. My 12 year old is an honor roll student and has been in the gifted program since the beginning of elementary school. I love all children, and have cared for children of all ages and with special needs since I was 12. I was responsible for caring for my adopted sister who was born with cerebral palsy, so I guess you could say that I have close to 47 year's caring for children. I've been a SAHM for the better part of 10 years, although I have done some occasional jobs caregiving and babysitting over the years. I am a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (2009- present ) and have CPR/BLS/AED and first aid training and certification. Caring for my grandmother for years who suffered from Alzheimer's gave me hands on experience. But I have to say, the Best experience is being a mom for 40 years. I raised my 1st daughter by myself and have been pretty much a Solo mom to my 12 year old who is about to enter the 7th grade this August. I can care for multiple children of any age, with any special needs. Infants to tweens, diapers - no problem. Special diets - No problem. I have my own reliable transportation and I have no problems with Nanny Cams and SAHM supervising. A reliable trustworthy sitter should behave the same around your children when mom and Dad are away as they would if mom and dad are home. Availability: I will be driving my daughter to and from school starting 8/10. Aside from that, I have availability any day of the week and depending on the circumstances, can be available upon short notice. My daughter will be turning 13 this August 3rd, and is very much interested in babysitting to earn her own money . If my rates are too high, (my rate is $25/hr) my daughter is very mature and responsible ,loves kids, & cheaper I'm sure.
