My name is Laura, and I am the Mother of two Daughters, ages 14 and 20. At age 15, I began a paid full-time babysitting job for two children whose mother was an airline stewardess. I babysat for this family for several years. After College I continued working in Child Care, and even spent one year living abroad to teach Pre-K at an American International school. I have an extensive background in Child Care, and worked in the field as a Teacher for the One's class at Little Lambs Preschool, where I taught little ones with Autism as well. I cared daily for six (up to eight total) one-year old children at this school. I have worked with children ranging from infant through 18 years old in a professional setting. For several years, I taught the After School Program, Summer Camps, and drove the 17-passenger van at Smart Start Pre-Prep. Read more I have also worked as a Children's Ministries Director, as well as a music teacher (from my home). I worked with Special Needs children on the Autism Spectrum for 3 years at CCS. Presently, I am a substitute teacher, and a part-time Nanny. As I enjoy caring for children, I am looking for a part-time Child Care position to help pay the bills while I further my education. I am a non-smoker, and I have my own reliable transportation. I am also an animal lover, and I know that this will be a plus if you have any family pets.
