At Bolles, I teach archery to kids aged 5-14 and have been a lead counselor for the youngest group (ages 3-5). I assisted them with daily tasks like filling water bottles, opening food items, tying shoes, and helped the boy campers change clothes for swimming. I also taught fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking during river days. I mostly worked with Pre-K to 5th grade and find being a good role model to kids incredibly rewarding. Most recently, I've taught kids with ASD, ADHD, Down Syndrome, etc. in a variety of subjects at my new job. Additionally, I've cared for my friend's autistic 9-year-old brother, my 6-year-old cousin, my neighbor's 4-year-old son, a 4 year old boy on here, a 5 year old boy, a 9 year old boy, and two young brothers on the spectrum occasionally (ages 2 and 4), and more.
