Working experience has been with children of varying ages. Worked in an after school daycare program beginning in high school and continued working there for 2 years with first grade students. Experience as a live in mother's helper began in December of 2013, I moved in with my sister after she gave birth to twins boys to be a mother's helper for her twins and her three year old son. The six months of this experience included taking care of the boys, feeding, bathing, etc, This job included light housework, laundry and helped with meal prep as needed. The summer prior to my time on the mission field I worked at a Bible (overnight) summer camp for six weeks. This was my 4th year working at this camp either as support staff or counselor. The last seven months I have been in the jungle of Guyana, South America working in Read more a primary school and assisting a native pastor with a ministry there that was started 10 years ago by my home church's mission's pastor. Two other college girls and I lived on our own in this very primitive environment. My desire when I returned to the states was to secure a job as a nanny.
