Hello mom and dad! I'm new at this so I guess I'll start with a little background info about myself. I was born and raised in Miami, Fl where I am currently living with my mother, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, niece and the one who holds the key to my heart, my 4 year old son. I am a 27 year old single mother who is very family oriented and loves children. I come from a large family where there are over 30 children. Being one of the the oldest of 5 siblings I started babysitting really young. While my mother became a single parent when I was at the young age of 10 I had to take on motherly tendencies really quickly. At 12 I babysat my younger brothers and sisters. I would cook, clean, make sure they had their baths before our mother got home. As I became Read more a teen I still had to babysit but I loved it, I loved caring for my siblings the way my mother did and acting like her lol. By the age 17 I begin babysitting for family members. They would ask me to care for their children so that they may work. I would babysit my baby cousin while my aunt was working, he was about 9-10 months old. That meant ai had to pay extra attention to him as he was only a baby, and make sure he was always entertained. I really lived babysitting him he became my baby from me always spending time with him. It was like I wasnt even babysitting but just simply enjoying the company of a very active baby, We had and still have an amazing bond because of it. At 24, I have babysat for friends and other family members. I would make sure the children were fed, bathed had homework done and had a fun and productive say before their parents arrived. As a mother I enjoy singing and dancing with my son as well as anyone else's children who are in my care for that day, I read to them play games with them. I love to create random activities to keep them busy because children get bored really quickly. I also make sure I keep a close eye on all children in my care because anything can happen. I have taken a CPR class and recieves a certificate for it but I need to recertify as I misplaced it. I took the course when I was 7 months pregnant with my son, over 4 years ago. I believe that I am a great candidate for the job because I really love children and I believe being a nanny is more than just watching over someone else's child but building relationships with the child and becoming more like a friend or even family and assuring the child that they are safe in my care.
