Meet Kaitlyn

I love art projects and science. I am a firm believer in the idea that children learn through play and sensory exploration. I like to plan activities that allow children to explore and learn by themselves (with guidance). Some examples of things I have done in the past are setting up sensory bins, putting together ABC scavenger hunts, and making paper mosaic self-portraits. I also am very hands-on. I love playing with children and helping them cultivate their imaginations. I enjoy working with families who allow me to take the children on walks in their neighborhood or to local museums or zoos. I think that this exploration of the world is so helpful to foster social and emotional development as well as introduces them to new things.
