Hi! I am an older adult who was able to retire in my 40's. I have always loved caring for children and started being a paid for my efforts at 13. I have never stopped working as a child care provider and did so part-time throughout my entire career as an office manager/bookkeeper. I enjoy working with children of all ages. I'm not a sit on the couch type minder. I like being active with the children I keep as well as discovering activities (i.e. books, crafts, games) we can do together. I believe there is no better way to learn then getting out doing and exploring. I feel I am a direct and honest person. I have no pre-conceived notions about what is the best child rearing method(s). Although, I am a firm believer in being outside and enjoying being a kid. I still have relationships with many of my former clients and their children, some now adults with their own children. I hope I get a chance to work with your family.
