Meet Sydney

Hello, I am Sydney and I am excited to work with your family. I recently relocated back home to Melbourne, Florida. I recently lived in a Orlando where I went to college at the University of Central Florida and studied Behavioral and Social Sciences and also received a minor in Criminal Justice. I have cared for children for multiple years, aging mainly from infants to middle school age children. For the past two years I worked for a Mental Rehabilitation Center, caring for at risk an autistic youth and I have enjoyed every moment of it. While at work I also have duties in the classroom teaching activities of daily living and teaching basic educational skills. I work closely with each child regarding their specific needs and the tasks needed to be complete throughout the specific day. My favorite part about working with kids is helping them grow into the Read more best versions of themselves. One of my favorite activities with children is being adventurous outside in order to let them explore and learn. My favorite thing about children is being able to see life through their eyes and their creations. I have learned a lot from each kid I have met. They all have a piece of my heart. I enjoy what I do because it doesn’t feel like a job. Becoming a care taker is very rewarding. I started when I was 18 and I’m still in the field. A little about myself is I am very family oriented. I love to stay active and be adventurous. Some of my favorite activities consist of spending time at the beach, writing and composing music, photography, playing soccer or basketball, and most importantly spending time with niece. I can’t wait to meet and get to know you.
