From the time I was young, I have always enjoyed looking after children. I started by babysitting my younger siblings, cousins, and eventually the neighborhood children as well. My mother owns her own in-home daycare, and I helped out with that as well. As I matured, I had numerous babysitting experiences, and even traveled as a nanny on vacation with a family for a few summers as a high school student. In my professional career, I have nearly 10 years of teaching experience as an elementary/middle school music teacher and tutor. These experiences have furthered my expertise with children, as I have studied and learned much about childhood development from an education and practical perspective. I am currently a grad student at University of Miami studying music education. I love kids, and they usually seem to like me, too.
