Hello Everyone! I'm Dilan from Antalya, Turkey. I live in a small beach town outside of the city which is a beautiful tourist destination. I was born in Ankara, which is the capital of Turkey! I decided to apply to the Au Pair program because I love children and spending time with them. I have much experience taking care of my younger brother while my parents were working. I was taking him to the playground, cinema, shopping center, and even walked him to school. As a baby I fed him, changed his diaper, bathed, and put him to sleep. I grew up in an active Turkish home which means my family is really close and we love doing outdoor activities together. Growing up, I would take my brother and close cousins swimming at the beach, biking, hiking, and of course football, which is what we call soccer in Turkey. Because Read more of my love for sports and fitness, I currently am a personal trainer at the best gym in my city. I received my certificate in Health and Fitness in 2018. I train my clients in Pilates, metabolic and functional exercise. I have even had group lessons for children! I also graduated from AkDeniz University the previous year with a degree in Tourism and Hotel Management. That's why I can speak almost fluently in English. Since I live in a tourist city, I love practicing my English with everyone I meet, especially kids. I love doing all kinds of activities with kids such as cooking, doing puzzles and word games, reading books together, and dancing silly. I love doing activities outside. We could make a fun obstacle course, run in the sprinklers, play with the ball, and go swimming! Thank you for considering me for your Au Pair, I am very excited to learn more about your family and American culture! I believe you should choose me as your Au Pair because I am great with children. I have lots of experience taking care of my younger brother and my little cousins. Turkish families like mine are often very close so I often took care of them by watching them while my parents and aunts and uncles worked. I would make it fun by taking them to the park to keep them happy and active. I have an understanding of their needs and wants. I pay attention to the little details, so I am very careful of their safety too. I am a very open-minded and flexible person so I can adapt to any new situation which happens often with children. I am a very energetic person so I can keep up with the energy of children. I love to have fun with kids but I also know I should be an example and show them the right way to do things. I know I can contribute to your family in helping any way possible. I can do cleaning and cooking duties as well. I think I would be an excellent choice for your au pair needs because I am a fast learner and very reliable. I have always dreamed of coming to America to discover your culture, I think it's a fun way to learn about American life through the eyes of your family. I cannot wait to share and learn more about you all.
