By the age of just thirteen years old, I started my own babysitting business. I started by babysitting my toddler twin cousins as well as children of family friends, and eventually built up my own clientele. I also got my adult, child, and infant CPR/First Aid certification at that time as well. My passion for working with children stems from my volunteer work at this age with children with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. Additionally, having a younger cousin who is on the autism spectrum always inspired me to not only understand him better, but all children. Over time, I pivoted my focus to my academics and to working in more customer service based roles. Yet, babysitting has always been something I have done on the side. In my early college years, I also started a mentoring business where I worked with adolescents who were re-integrating into their lives back home after returning from rehabilitation centers. I worked one on one with them and their parents, curated activities, goals, and milestones in order to help support them emotionally and socially. I believe I have a rare set of skills in working with children of all ages because I have a deeply empathetic and patient demeanor, I always want the best for people, and I have a wide variety of types of children I have worked with. Additionally, I LOVE to learn and strive to be the best at what I do. I aim to accommodate both the children and parents of the families I work for! I am also currently working on getting re-certified in child, infant, and adult CPR/First Aid.
