I have been in public education for several years and have a Master's Degree in Childhood Education (PreK-6th grade) with a specialized certification in Reading instruction. In June I am planning to retire from public education, and I am available for hire in June/July (or in August if you don't need a nanny until then). I have open availability and can do an occasional overnight if needed. Overall, I am able to provide excellent childcare in an educational and healthy-living atmosphere. Being a teacher, I have extensive experience with children; I have also raised four of my own and have three lively grandsons! Overall, I believe children should be involved in multiple activities during the day to development their brains, social skills, and physical bodies. The activities would include outside play, crafts, being read to, inside play, coloring, music and songs, Read more and a small amount of educational television or video. In addition, I love pets; I have a clean driving record and reliable transportation for "pick-ups/drop-offs" if needed. I also can assist with light housekeeping, and meal planning and preparation. I am a non-smoker and willing to take a drug test upon request.
