I  live in the Albany Park area in Chicago IL. I have lived in chicago all my life but moved away to KY for 4 years to attend school, and came back to my wonderful city married to a wonderful man, who is also a teacher. Cureently, I am an Infant/toddler teacher at a daycare center. My favorite part of my job is the connection between child and teacher and parent and teacher. the trust that these bonds build only help the education and development of the children I care for. I love teaching, it is who I am not what I do. I would love the experience to build those bonds in a different setting that is a bit less formal, and more familial. I have no children myself, my husband and I have decided to wait. I have worked with children from infancy through school age years. I Read more must say my favorite age is the 1-2 year olds. I am a born again Christian. My religous befiefs do not interfere with my job. Families that embrace the same values and beliefs will get a more Christ centered curriculum or teaching style from me, but those who do not share my beliefs will not have thier children taught my beliefs. I would never impose anything on a child a parent would not approve of. I believe that a parent is a child's forst and most important teacher. You set the rules, values, and curriculum taight to your child. I do believe that children learn through experiences, and play. Thier play is thier work, and I try to use every moment possible to teach.
