Greetings, I am Alona, a second year social work scholor at the Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. I am the fourth child out of six and grew up very close to my siblings. From an early age, I began to help care for my little siblings and my love for kids grew. I am a teachers daughter who loved volunteering in my mom’a school. Growing up in church, I volunteer in the kids ministry and in the nursery. I not only have a special bond with kids, but have the gift of teaching. Wether that be tutoring with school work, helping kids express themself, or teaching basic sign language, i always encourage them to learn something new! I have a special bond with my 4 and 1 year old nephews, and always joke that i’m their second mom. Being at a mature age, helping raise them. Compared to when I Read more was younger, with my siblings, I have learned how to listen, be patient and receptive to kids. I take any child that is in my care, well-being very serious. In which I am BLS certified, and prepared with knowledge for any emergency, wether that be choking or in need of CPR. With your kids being under my care, you can feel confident and comfortable that not only will they be safe, but all their needs will be met!
