Hi, my name is Amy. Caring for and educating children has been my vocation for as long as I can remember! As a preteen, babysitting for neighborhood children eventually turned into teaching 2 yr. old kids. My college major was elementary education & upon graduation, I taught middle school. After relocating to Florida, I taught fourth grade and soon became a mom of 2 sons. It was then that I became fascinated with brain development and how the youngest child learns. I became Montessori certified through MACTE.and taught in a 3-6 year old classroom for 7 years. As the boys grew, I homeschooled our sons for several years before heading back into a more traditional classroom. I have taught a combination of kindergarten & VPK since 2018. In addition to being first aid & CPR certified, I hold a current Florida Teacher Certification from birth to 6th grade. I also Read more hold a Department of Children and Family Staff Credential & the VPK endorsed Director’s Credential. With my experience, background and Florida Preschool and Elementary Teacher Certifications, I also help serve homeschooling families by completing student performing portfolio evaluations and curriculum consultation.
