Hello, I'm Julia! I am a licensed elementary school teacher with additional experience in early childhood/infant care, ESE, art teaching, and English tutoring. I've been teaching elementary art for both general education and ESE self-contained classrooms for the past 2 years and am also certified to teach general education K-6th grade. While I was in college, I worked at a licensed childcare facility for 3 years during which, I completed the part I and II of the Florida Department of Child & Family Services requirements as well as the 40 hour DCF school-age care requirements. I was a full-time nanny to a newborn until she started kindergarten. I completed the Youth Mental Health First Aid certification course last year. My first aid & CPR cards are currently expired, but I have been certified five times in the past. Every summer for the past 7 years, I've taught art classes and camps for children and teens for the City of Safety Harbor. These classses were in a variety of media including STEM/STEAM, recycled art, embroidery and sewing (by hand and machine), sculpture, stop-motion animation, painting, and drawing. In addition to childcare, I offer tutoring for all ages in English, reading, writing, and standardized testing prep. I have tutored for the SAT, ACT and TOEFL. I am also available to lead art lessons and parties for both children and adults. I drive a 2019 Honda Insight & am a very safe driver. I am very comfortable with dogs, cats, and other animals. My rate for childcare is $22 per hour for a child 5 years old or older and $25/ hour for a child under 5 years old. I charge $3-$5 more per additional child depending on age and number of additional children. My rate for test prep and tutoring is $40 for the 1st hour and $25 for each additional hour per session. My rate for art lessons depends on number of children and the materials cost.
