Hi! My name is Alexis. I am 21 years old with 5 years of childcare experience. I first started as an assistant infant teacher at a preschool center. While working full time, I was also taking early childhood education courses to become a certified lead infant-toddler teacher which I have now completed, as well as doing overnight nannying. In the classroom, the ratio was one teacher to 3 children, and 2 teachers to 7 children. (6 weeks-15 months) Each day was a set routine, however we did incorporate each individual schedule as well. Each month I had to do lesson planning, which including art projects, books, music, activities, etc. And I loved going on outdoor walks to get some fresh air and explore with the children. Aside from that, I also do have experience in the older ages classrooms as well when I would help around the center, I would Read more engage in activities that they were interested in, and assist the children in anything they would need help with whether it be a work sheet , toy or the specific activity they are doing. I am CPR & First aid certified. I am now interested in working outside of the preschool setting and helping individual families who are looking for childcare whether it be a part time or full time position. I am open to set scheduling or flexible scheduling. Whichever works best for you! I am also pet friendly, as I do have a cat and dog of my own.
