My name is Alyssa Velez-Kearns. Growing up I've taken care of children constantly. My mother works as a nurse and raised my 6 siblings and me on her own. I've learned how to take care of children since I was a child myself. I've also learned plenty of nursing techniques from my mother like first aid and CPR. I also worked as a lifeguard for 4 years. All throught furthering my education in childcare. I taught swim lessons and volunteered for my local swim team. Most recently, I studied cosmetology at the Aveda institute, where I learned a lot about hair and skin care, as well as what chemicals are safe for people.
