Growing up, I had always been asked to babysit from family, family friends and neighbors. I had to learn a lot of responsibility early on while growing up. My brother and sister who are 11 and 12 years my senior, had started their families and really depended on me to take care and help raise each of their children. So naturally, after looking after 7 nieces and nephews in total, I've had many experiences in all age groups. After graduating high school, I attended college and earned my associates degree in paralegal studies. I had spent about 4-5 years working in the legal field and discovered that I wasn't feeling like it was the career for me. I decided to go back to childcare because it felt like second nature to me. I found a family that needed a full time babysitter and upon meeting them was quickly hired. I've Read more been with them now for 3 and half years. The job has blossomed from taking care of a 4 year old at their home to taking on multiple tasks around the house, pet care (expert level with 3 dogs, 2 fish and a bunny), running errands, going on field trips, participating in classroom parties and much more. It's very rewarding to me that I can make a difference in a child's life by providing the tools to becoming the creative, curious and smart child they can be. I also work at my local high school as head coach for the dance team and I assisted coached the previous year. I am CPR certified and I have been cleared with background checks as everyone must when working for a school. I am moving to Sarasota, Florida in April 2015 and would like to keep going with child care, I hope to help another family who really needs someone they can without a doubt trust with their children, pets and home.
