Hi, I have spent my career working in non profits on behalf of school based children's safety programs. In my life, I have worked with absolutely all ages, from infant to 18 yrs of age. I retired several years ago at age 68 to help my daughter here in Sarasota by caring for her first child while she worked as an ESL school teacher in Manatee County. Currently, she has moved back to Taiwan with her family so I am available o a limited basis to work with young families. Therefore, I can tell you that my experience caring for young babies is recent and thorough. I just stopped caretaking for my grandson at the end of June. I adore children and always have. I also worked as a Sunday School teacher for 20 yrs and volunteered at my daughter's schools when they were young. I love to read books Read more and participate in floor play with young children. My now 2 and 1/2 grandson has always loves his time spent with me. I helped him with his English language skills and he is ow speaking 3 languages, thanks to his parents, which thrills me. I know I have a lot of love and respect (and playful sense of humor) to offer children and I am honored and gratified to invest in the life of any child. I do know however. that at age 70 my stamina is not what it used to be so I could only occasionally work more than 20 hrs a week.
