Hey guys I'm super excited to work with you and you're kiddos! My name is Sam, I've grown up as the third oldest of 11, so I have been around kids my whole life. I love the outdoors and reading. I'm an avid crafter, a giant nerd, and I will always be a theatre kid at heart. My experience includes working as a nanny/babysitter for a family of 5-7 from the ages of 1 to 12. I helped with meal prep, schoolwork, cleaning, various other household tasks, and helping to care for their special needs children. I have experience with children with asthma, mild autism, and other delays, and I learned how to administer medication with inhaler/spacers and nebulizer, and I have experience feeding/administering medication through a G tube. I also have taught classes for the Moms of Homeschoolers group at Calvary Chapel Melbourne for two years. The classes I Read more taught include: Theatre classes (preschool-3rd and 4th+), and Nature Science (5-6 year olds). And I've worked as a stage manager in children theatre on and off for the last 6 years. This meant I spent a lot of time with the kids (rather than just normal SM duties). I helped them get any extra help they needed during rehearsals (i.e. choreography, help memorizing lines). And during the performances I made sure they all knew where they were supposed to go and how long they had, I was also responsible for making sure that any problem that came up was solved quickly (including: costume changes, minor injuries, stage fright, “I forgot my lines!”, and any other meltdowns that occurred backstage) I’m CPR certified and have first aid training. As stated above I have a lot of experience working with kids who have special needs.
