Hello, my name is Emily Rose, I am a current graduate student at Temple University studying applied behavior analysis and I am looking for a babysitting job such as this one! Last year I worked as an autism therapist, providing one on one ABA therapy to children (ages 2-12) with autism and other intellectual disabilities, but unfortunately I had to leave this job when I relocated to Philadelphia. Working with children is something I have always been passionate about. I have been babysitting since I was about 10 years old for two boys in my neighborhood who were ages 2 and 6. My responsibilities included playing games with them, preparing snacks and dinner, making sure they were bathed, and reading them stories before bed. My Sophomore and Junior year I was a nanny for a 10 year old girl, I had to pick her up from school at 2:00pm, take Read more her home, help with homework, prepare a snack and then take her to swim practice at 4:00pm. Occasionally I had to stay overnight when her mom was traveling for business, in these cases I would have to pick her up from swim practice, prepare dinner, make sure she was bathed, in bed on time and then ultimately take her to school the next morning, and start the routine over again. Also the summer of my senior year I babysat for a 5 year old girl Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. My responsibilities were to prepare her breakfast and lunch, play games with her such as dress up and board games, and watch her swim in the pool. And just this past summer I worked part time as child watch personal in a gym called Burn Bootcamp. Mom's would drop off their children before their workout and it was my job to keep them smiling and entertained until their mom's came to pick them up. Currently I work at the Yale school of Philadelphia in Manayunk as a teachers assistant in an autism support classroom, I assist the lead teacher in the room making sure that everything is running smoothly. I consider myself to be a very responsible and reliable person, I love playing board games, arts and crafts, and outside activities! I have a pretty flexible schedule as I will only be doing an internship this summer, that I can work into my own schedule. My main goal would not only to ensure that your children are well taken care of but that they are also having a good time!
