Hi! My name is Jamilah and I’m 23 years old. I love being around kids and have been babysitting since I was 12-13 years old. I babysit any age from 4 months old to 10 years old. I play a variety of different games with the children as well as read books with them. I also help clean up after them and do light house work. I’ve heard back from a lot of families I’ve babysat for and they have all told me how much their kids love me and can’t wait for me to babysit again. I tend to treat the kids I babysit for as if they were my own children making sure they feel heard and know that I want to be there playing with them and helping them grow. I have also worked at a Montessori as a teacher for 2 to 6 years olds. I Read more have also helped tutor at an after school for about 2 years. The children that attended the after school were up to the age of 12 years old. Along with working with 2-6 year olds and up to the age of 12 years old, I have experience with children on the spectrum of autism. Since I was in first grade, I always volunteered in the special needs classroom. However, my most recent experience with special needs children was that I was a coach for Special Olympics. I helped each child understand the rules of the games we were playing, good sportsmanship, problem-solving, how to have fun while also being a team player.
