I’ve been a nanny for many years in Illinois and I’ve gained a wonderful relationship with both the parents and children. I still exchange greeting cards or communicate with them on Facebook. I’m very dependable and trustworthy. I’m also flexible with my duties. I’ve driven the children to school and picked them up. I’ve helped them with their homework. I read to the younger ones and take them to the park. I’ve also taken the children to special events that have been planned by the parents. I’m very good with pets too. I walk them and take care of them as if they were my own. I prepare meals for the children (breakfast, lunch or dinner). I’ve made dinner for the family I’ve also run errands for the family. I have two dependable cars, so if one is in the shop, I still have the other vehicle. I like my Read more home to be a reasonable distance from the family so in case of an emergency, I could get to their home in a reasonable amount of time. I can straighten up the living area and make sure the children pick up after themselves. I also make sure the children do their homework. I also make sure the children don’t eat too many snacks or treats. I believe. they should have good nutritional meals which would include vegetables. I believe they should have a good amount of fruit and vegetables each day. I feel that their day should not be about sitting in front of a television but should include physical activity and also board games, coloring books and drawing pictures (maybe about the days events). If I ask a child to do a chore, pick up after themselves or get dressed, I expect them to do it in a timely manor. I shouldn’t have to ask them more than once. I have a gentle manor but they will know what I expect of them right away. They can only have a friend over with their parents permission. I don’t want them running in the house or roughhousing. They should respect their home and the things in it. I feel they should be groomed properly. That means their hair should be comed and their teeth brushed. When they come home, they should do their homework right away. When their homework is done, they go out or choose an indoor activity. I believe in good manners. I like to hear please, thank you or may I have this. I don’t appreciate a foul mouth. I would treat these children like my own. I love children and expect from them what I would expect from my own children. Every day I feel that I am molding each child to be a better human being with hopefully a bright future ahead.
