I started providing childcare when I was 13. To begin with, I just babysat for friends and neighbors, but as I got older I babysat for more people. I volunteered in my church's children's ministry, including Sunday school classes, paid babysitting, and vacation bible school. I also worked in an after school program for a year. I was responsible for caring for and supervising large groups of elementary aged children. I truly enjoy working with children, and getting to know them and their families. I can be silly and play around, but I am also very serious about maintaining a safe, healthy environment for every child. I have spent the last two years working for a wonderful family in Athens, Ga. I helped prepare meals for the child, helped her with homework, and picked her up and dropped her off from all of her after school activities.
