I'm Nona (neé Mayam) and I'm a lifelong childcare provider and caregiver! I've been a doula for 21 years and a professional nanny since 2019. I'm a mom of 3 (super adults!) and a super cool granddaughter (5). I have experience, love hanging out with and caring for children of ALL ages, but my soft spot is for newborns through pre-K as I've learned that's when families tend to need the most support. I have been working with children for the past 28 years in the capacity of in-home childcare provider, nanny, and literacy coordinator/tutor. I am passionate about fostering better relationships via communication with children through practicing mindfulness, encouraging communication (verbal, written, ASL, conversational Spanish and Hebrew), and learning through play. As a nanny to high profile families, have been thoroughly vetted and am registered (Current as of September 2022) with AP Nannies, Nannies & More International, Signet Nannies Read more and Jovie Childcare and possess my Infant/Child CPR AED and First Aid Skills Certification. I am willing to submit to any and all security and background checks and am NDA compliant. I am a super skilled home chef who is available to cook amazing meals for your family while using the kitchen as a means to teach children mathematics, music, reading and science. I'm also a singer/songwriter and performer and I create original storybooks for children as well I use these skills as well to teach children basic life skills, foster literacy and teach emotional management. I also excel and execute effortlessly the responsibilities of household management including vendor and staff management, deliveries, errands. housekeeping, organization and scheduling. I have a genuine desire to care for and assist families and I look forward to speaking with you and learning more about your family!
