As of the beginning of summer 2016, I have been a nanny for the same two children for the last five years (since the five year old boy was a newborn and the ten year old girl was five years old). While under my care, my responsibility was to make sure that the children had completed their homework and chores, had healthy snacks/lunches packed, and got at least an hour of physical activity daily. There were also occasional extended stay times when I was responsible for the children for up to five days at a time. While enrolled at the University of North Georgia, I completed 40 hours of volunteering in classroom settings, most of which was spent in a Special Needs class at Wauka Mtn Elementary. I also volunteered for in an "Art for Troubled Teens" after school program at Lumpkin Middle School. I am now a freelance artist - As a children's book illustrator and aspiring mural painter I highly value the time I spend with children. I also recently began writing music for children. My goal is to inspire them as they inspire me.
