Hello! I have worked with children of all ages since I started babysitting around the age of 12 years old. My first job following babysitting was as a Primary Caregiver at Little Blue Preschool. It was here that I was able to really develop my creativity skills through lesson planning and organizing outdoor play time. I worked with children that ranged from the age of 6 months to 7 years. Throughout college, I was a nanny and babysitter for a couple of families. This was a unique experience for me in that I felt like I became a true member of these families. I worked for one family of four, with two young daughters and another family of 5 with 3 young girls, all under the age of 8. I completed daily household chores such as cleaning, tidying, laundry, meal-prep, baking and organization. Throughout high school and college, I spent Read more several hours as an assistant coach and volunteer in youth sports, summer camps, after-school care, and health care settings such as in various pediatric therapy clinics. Following college, I worked as a Behavior Therapist for children with Autism and other developmental disorders, in a day therapy center. I worked alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts. It was here that I learned an in-depth approach to ABA therapy, as well as how to help kids prepare for kindergarten and pre-k programs. Following this, I moved to Chicago to work as a Behavior Therapist doing in-home care. This was similar to my job in the clinical setting, except for that I learned how to help the child generalize learned behaviors, as well as communicate effectively with my teammates and the families that we worked with. I stayed here for one year before relocating to Atlanta. I am currently working as a Rehab Tech at a physical therapy clinic. I also tutor a first-grade girl on fine and gross motor skills, hand-strengthening skills and reading and writing comprehension. I am in pursuant of a Master's of Occupational Therapy degree in the next couple of years. Once I graduate, I hope to continue to work in the pediatric setting! A few notes about me... -I love to bake! Even though chocolate chip brownies are my specialty, I also bake a lot of gluten-free goodies! -Being from Michigan, I am a huge Tigers and Lions fan! (Hope those aren't deal breakers:-)) -I love to travel and have been to about 22 countries! I look forward to chatting with you!
