Hi all! I am a nanny located in the Garden Hills neighborhood of Buckhead. I have 10+ years of experience in childcare (all age groups), consisting of babysitting, early childhood education, and nannying. My philosophy is that children who feel accomplished (no matter their age!), respected and valued are the happiest and most well-rounded. My approach is to allow children to explore their surroundings, and learn how to approach certain situations with supervision, guidance, and support so that they can develop the ability to make good decisions or know how to respond to different situations that arise. I believe that they should also be permitted to have their own unique personalities and that teaching should be tailored around what each particular child responds best to. I encourage self-thinking and believe that every child should be encouraged to develop their own likes and dislikes while still providing them with structure and Read more modeling appropriate manners and social skills for them to learn and follow, all while being encouraged and loved every step of the way! I make sure to treat every child under my care as I would treat my own, and to make sure that they feel nurtured, cared for, have fun, and that they always know how capable they are! Every child should know, and more importantly feel, that they can accomplish anything they set their mind to, and that they are valued by those around them. Instilling self-worth into children is one of my main goals. I have maintained long-lasting relationships with all of the children I have cared for, and remain a reliable, trustworthy care provider for their families. Overall, I make sure to create a bond with children so not only do they feel secure while in my care, but also enjoy having me around! I love taking children to activities that will stimulate their mind and awareness of the world-- art projects, special shows, and fun mini day trips to the Aquarium, parks, museums etc. I also like to allow the children to periodically plan out their own activities and where they would like to go on predetermined "fun" days, depending on their age of course. -CPR/First-Aid certified. I have also attended and completed numerous training programs on child development, emotional development, infectious diseases, signs of abuse etc. As far as experience goes, I've pretty much done it all, so feel free to contact me with any questions!
