I am 22 years old and currently working as an EMT. With this role, I have certifications in CPR (infant to adult) and first aid. I have four younger siblings and grew up helping in classrooms at church. I also worked in Guilford county elementary schools as a STEM guide for classrooms. These roles have equipped me with abilities and confidence to care for, teach, discipline, and engage with children of all ages. I have spent many years caring for infants and young children; therefore, I am comfortable in changing diapers, cleaning up after messes (from messy meals to vomit), and I understand the need to pay careful attention to children to ensure their safety and happiness. In my role as an EMT, my favorite patients have always been the children because I quickly build rapport with the children and their parents to make them feel safe and comfortable.
