Hello parents! For the past 13 years I have worked in the childcare field while practicing and showing my art.I currently live in south Dekalb County, and have been working as a nanny with the same family of 5 for 4 years now. Before moving to Atlanta in 2019, I lived and worked as a nanny in the San Francisco Bay Area for 6 years. Naturally, as the children grow older, I am needed less. The relationship I hold with a family is very important, therefore instead of finding a new family,I wish to supplement my income with babysitting. I am energetic, compassionate, and have a great work ethic. I also have a creative spirit and a great imagination. As a nanny my work ethic stems from what I would look for in a nanny. I believe that infancy/childhood is the most pivotal time in a person’s life. A grounded and secure childhood sets a firm foundation for emotional happiness in adulthood. The RIE method (gentle parenting) has been very beneficial for the way I am able to communicate and care for children. It is an approach that takes lots of patience and creativity, but I have found that it builds confidence in a child and a sense of intuition. My experience in childcare started at a young age. At the ripe age of 13, my parents prompted me to get a job. I began to care for neighborhood children, my first position fairly advanced. I cared for a child, age 3, with developmental disabilities, working all summer and even overnights ( sometimes traveling) with the child and her guardians.
