As someone with many younger siblings, I grew up being a childcare specialist without even knowing it! I have always loved children at every age and different backgrounds. I love inspiring creativity and assisting with reaching milestones while having fun and enjoying time together. I love helping children learn socialization, relationships, attachment styles, and brain development, as well. I love spending time with children and making them laugh as I invest time and energy into children. I also love seeing them make new connections as they grow and learn at each developmental stage. Childcare Philosophy: As a child and developmental psychologist, I use my knowledge to help children thrive, moving at their own pace. I understand that no two children are the same, no matter how similar their lives, homes, or ages. It is my goal to get to know the child on their level, encourage and challenge them to Read more learn and grow, build a safe space for them, inspire creativity through art and being outdoors, and become a reliable source of care for the child whenever needed. I also understand that children are unpredictable and life happens. Adapting to these changes is the core of being a reliable and understanding nanny. In my academic career, I have learned more about the work I do as a nanny and I am able to meet children where they are at. But more than that, I have studied and am continually learning how every child communicates and operates in their own special way and that there is a reason for everything they do/say. I am able to see beyond the surface that most people see and understand the function and development of the child brain! I value the fact that a family is trusting me with their child and that I have the opportunity to help foster growth, learning, and safety for the child. I love that I get to spend time getting to know the child/children on their level and watching them light up when they see me.
