Hi! My name is Mary Jo. I am 21 years old. I am originally from a small town called Tifton, Georgia. I was in school pursuing my degree in psychology while home, where I intended on eventually working in child psychology. I am now in Brunswick, and though I am taking this semester, and the Summer off, I will be attending coastal to pursue coastal wildlife ecology. Working with children and animals both are my two biggest passions, and I love being able to help other families in whatever way I can. I worked with around three families consistently for about five years, before moving to Jacksonville to finish my Psychology degree. There, I worked as a full time nanny during the week to a six year old girl on Mayport Naval Base. I worked with her Monday - Saturday from 5 am until about 7 pm. She was not Read more in school at the time, so I kept her throughout the entire day. I kept her up on her reading and studying to keep her prepared, as well as providing entertainment, travel when needed, and of course food preparation and light house work. When she went back to school, I then worked for a family with a two year old daughter and six year old son after school daily. I helped with house work, potty training, homework, and all other general care. I moved back home after that for awhile where I worked with the families I worked for before, primarily with a brother and sister who are now six and eight. I am very passionate about children, but also wildlife and all animals. I spend a lot of my time outside, and I love having the opportunity and knowledge to teach children about conservation and the world around them. I was an english tutor when I attended ABAC, and I have experience with helping children study and reinforcing information if my help is needed. I am a non-smoker, and I own a 2013, very reliable Honda Fit. I am currently taking this semester and the summer off, so I will have lot of free time with the intent of being able to help a family as much as possible.
