Hi! I'm currently a student at the University of Georgia in Athens, but I will be come home in Effingham County for the summer from May 6 until the first week of August. I study linguistics and Arabic, and I'm very interested in foreign language, especially as it pertains to children and how children perceive language. I believe that there is so much to be learned from children and how they interact and communicate, especially with each other! I am willing to perform housekeeping duties including cleaning around the house and cooking delicious, healthy meals for children (I love to cook!). In my past babysitting experiences, I provided educational games and early-learning education, including counting money, penmanship, potty training, telling time, etc., for children under my supervision. I am also first aid and CPR certified. I have always been an A student, and I have a deep passion for both Read more learning and teaching. I graduated from Effingham County High School in 2016 as an Honors and Scholar Endorsed Graduate with a class rank: 11 out of 436. While in high school I was an active member in Air Force JROTC, drama club, band, marching band color guard, student government, National Honors Society, calculus club, Future Business Leaders of America, and mathematics club. Since high school, I have been on the UGA Dean's List every semester. I have one brother who is 5 and a half years younger than me. Throughout the years, he has been the main driving factor in my decision to look into a future with language and translation because of a speech impediment he used to have. My brother also has ADD and ADHD, so I am very willing, and even enthusiastic, to work with children like him. I have no problem whatsoever with pets, especially large breed dogs (I have two St. Bernards!). I am most comfortable outside, and I enjoy sports (watching and playing). I would love to have the opportunity to work with your family!
