Hello, My name is Latoya Walker and I am US Air Force Veteran with many years of experience working with children. After the completion of high school, I obtained my Child Development Certification and Nurse Assistant Certification. I have worked with children with special needs such as autism, cognitive delays and children who were vision impaired in daycares, special needs schools, nursing homes, and in private homes. While on Active Duty orders for six years, most of my fellow airmen were single mothers or single fathers who have entrusted me with the care of their children for extended periods of time. As of recently, (January 2018 to January 2019), I had the great pleasure of raising my best friends child when she was tasked to deploy to Saudi Arabia for a year.
