My greatest experience in caring for others' children is the fact that I have 3 stepchildren who were 4, 6 and 10 when their father and I got together. While I had never been a mommy before, I quickly found that I had a true gift with children. I am patient, creative, nurturing and fun. Being a stepparent was the most difficult role I have ever taken on in life, but it was also one of the most rewarding. My stepchildren are all adults now, and I have a 13 year old birth daughter that is my heart. Nothing compares to being a mom. While I look forward to being a grandma one day, that will be far down the road. Right now, I am looking for a family that needs a dependable, mature, honest and trustworthy person to care for their child or children. I studied art and design Read more for years in college before changing majors, so I am creative and artistic. I love doing crafts, art projects, and other fun learning activities. I am a non-smoker with a clean background and clean driving record. I have my own late model car that is very reliable and safe. I am available Mondays through Fridays. I take my daughter to school in the morning, and her grandfather picks her up in the afternoon. He is a widower and appreciates the company of my daughter for a few hours after school. I adore caring for children of all ages, including infants. Poop, food, and other associated kid messes don't bother me at all. I am willing to do some meal/snack prep and light housekeeping as well.
