Hello! My name is Danielle Heubel, and I am a 24-year-old grad student living in the Atlanta area. I am pursuing my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Richmont Graduate University starting in August 2017. I have several years of nanny and childcare experience. I have spent two summers nannying for separate families. The first had three children ages 7-12 and the second had two children ages 6 mo and 19 mo. I greatly enjoyed working with both age ranges. For the former, elementary school-age is a time of fun and creativity. For the latter, I love getting to watch younger children grow and discover the world around them for the first time. In addition to these two nannying positions, I have several families for which I have babysat as needed during my time in Athens. I also have two years of working in a church nursery where I Read more had children that ranged from 6 mo to 14 years of age. As part of my job there, I developed creative curriculum for the older children and provided a fun, safe environment for the younger children. I have also coached a swim team for four summers and conducted swim lessons through them. This job was so fun for me because I loved getting to build long-term relationships with the kids on the team and to teach new skills. Finally, my degree in Human Development and Family Sciences has well prepared me to work with a wide age range of children at different developmental stages. Both through my coursework and through clinical practice, I learned about each stage of development and how to create developmental appropriate activities for each stage. My time getting this degree has made me so excited to pursue wholeness in the families that I counsel and has given me a deep appreciation for every child I interact with!
