I am originally from Dallas, Tx where I worked as a nanny to two families (2,4,6 year old) and (1,3,7 year old) before I went full time at my churches pre school teaching a 3’s class. I am a very active and creative person who loves crafts, going to the park and splash pad, and making fun lunches! I believe in adding a little education to every activity to keep their little minds busy and growing. I have a two year old of my own who is rambunctious and silly, so I have lots of experience in redirection and high energy children. I am CPR and First Aid certified and have worked with children with severe allergies. I’m looking forward to meeting with the next family I can help! I love children. I have 4 kids ages 21, 18, 17, and 8 yrs of age. I understand each stage of development and the needs thereof. I am very patient and believe that communicating with a child is the best way for them to feel heard and understood, as well as understanding their frustrations and finding positive ways to solve them. I am kind and nurturing, and able to play and relate to children well. I also respect parents as well, so show me your routine and I will follow your preferences. Being a mother, I understand it's hard to allow someone new around your children and I hope to bring peace and smiles to your family. I understand children can get sick and have no problem caring for them in this situation. I understand childrens medicines and appropriate doses and emotional support and cuddles to feel well soon. I am capable of dealing with behavioral issues in a positive way and have the patience to do so. I am also comfortable with nanny cams so you can see your children at anytime and have peace of mind. I can help with light household duties and meal preparation as well. I am looking for a morning schedule ending by 2pm so I can pick up my son from school and care for my family. I currently have my CNA certification. I am finishing my last 2 prerequisite classes and have passed my Hesi A2 exam towards entrance to nursing school. I love animals as well. I am a retired substitute teacher with two grown children. I have worked with children in every capacity from ages newborn to teenagers since I was 12 years old. I have attended Georgia Military College and Valdosta State University and am 3 credits shy of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. I also took ESOL classes (English as a Second Language) and 1 year of Spanish. I have taken CPR and First Aid classes, as well as, worked as a medical technician in the Emergency Room and Pediatrics in my early 20's. I have always had a love and passion for childhood education and development. There is just nothing like watching a child learn how to walk, speak, or reach the milestones that will eventually become the cornerstone of their precious lives. It's truly amazing to me, and to be able to experience this is a gift. I also have a great fondness of animals. I have plenty of experience with all kinds of farm animals as I have lived and worked on our family farm for 20 years. I'm familiar with not only everyday care and maintenance of animals, but also any medical requirements they may need at home. I am comfortable managing my time with both childcare and any of your pets needs. I can manage light housekeeping, meal preparation, and routine schedule maintenance like bath time or bedtime. I have reliable transportation and don't mind attending doctors appointments or taking children to extracurricular activities.
