i have had experience with babysitting and working with kids since 2016. I began as a summer camp counselor for the YMCA where i was required to undergo cpr training and babysitting certification. Following the summer of 2016, I decided that i wanted to begin working as a part-time babysitter while also working towards graduating from highschool. During this year (my junior year of high school) I babysat constantly throughout the year but i floated around from family to family, babysitting whenever and where ever i was needed on a first come first serve basis. My senior year of high school, however, is when i began to consistently babysit for just two families every week. During the weekdays I babysit for one family (two 9 year old twins to be exact) and i was in charge of picking them up from school, transporting them to after school activities, taking them Read more to doctors appointments, lightly cleaning up after them, cooking for them, and essentially whatever else was asked of me. During the weekends however i babysit for the second family (one 2 year old and a 4 year old) during the evenings while the parents would go out or go to church, and i would essentially feed the girls dinner and help them calm down and prepare for bed time. i am currently a freshman in college and i have babysit for a few families along the way but i haven’t formed any deep connections with families to where they need me on a daily basis, and this is essentially what i’m looking for. i love kids of all ages but i find working for a single family consistently is what works best for me because it allows me to truly get to know the kids i am working with/ watching over which benefits them and benefits me in knowing what’s best for them/ safest for them. I am now entering my senior year of college and looking for a part-time babysitting/ nannying position to fill up some of my extra time & to help me make extra money as i finish off my final year of college!
