My name is Karen Lara, I am 20-years-old. I speak both Spanish and English, love to bake and sometimes try to cook, but with a passion for working with children. As the oldest of seven siblings, I have always held a natural inclination towards caring for and guiding others. This passion led me to begin volunteering with children at my church during my freshman year of high school. After completing my high school education in 2022, I decided to venture out and gain more experience in working with children. I traveled to Colorado Springs and became a counselor at a traveling summer camp, where I had the opportunity to engage with children from various backgrounds and create meaningful connections with them. Upon returning from Colorado, I was able to further my career in early childhood education. I got a position as a teacher assistant at a preschool, where I dedicated Read more myself to supporting the growth and development of young children. My dedication and commitment were quickly recognized, and I was offered a lead position for the early preschool classroom after just a few months. Outside of my work life, I enjoy going for walks, dancing in my room, playing with my younger siblings, traveling and trying new foods, and reading books. These activities help me with a sense of relaxation and joy, allowing me to recharge and maintain a balanced lifestyle. My dream is to make a difference in the lives of children through teaching and helping others. The experience working with children and desire to create a positive impact on my determination to pursue a career in education. I want my dedication to inspire and empower children, by providing them with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in life.
