My name is Zakiyyah, I am 27 year old ATL native and am very interested in being your full-time Nanny/Educator. I have been a professional Nanny in the Atlanta area for the past 10 years and I am looking for a full-time position starting immediately. My ideal hours would be 9:00am-6:00pm. I currently live in Clarkston, GA and can independently commute anywhere within the metro Atlanta area. I’m also open to relocate anywhere and/or “live-in” for the right family/position. A little bit of my work history: I was a full-time Nanny for a 6 month old infant named Griffin and worked seasonally with him until he turned 5 and his family permanently moved to Houston. I’ve recently completed a 5 month (Oct. 2020-March 2021) position as a Nanny Educator for a family in Chamblee for a 21 month old baby boy and have absolutely loved the experience! I have also recently completed a 2 month (March-May 2021) homeschool/tutoring contract with 3 siblings, 5, 6 and 8. They were advanced approx. 2 grade levels in all subjects and I served to improve their critical thinking, mindfulness, math skills, cursive handwriting, phonics and science. I occasionally helped prep breakfast and lunch, and facilitated Fun Fridays which included Spoons and Uno tournaments as well as Nerf Wars and pool days in the backyard. I’ve taught 7th grade Life Science General Education/Special Education for a year for DeKalb County School District (2019-2020) and am certified to teach science for 4-8th grade. I’m also preparing to enter nursing school next year (2022-2023) and am CPR/AED/First Aid certified. I speak English fluently and can communicate at a beginner level in Arabic as well as read/write the language. I have taught my charges in the past how to speak a bit of Arabic, which I can also teach your child(ren). I can help with homework, meal prep, running errands, housekeeping and laundry. My experience includes working with multiples, infants, toddlers and school age children. I do not smoke and drive safely. I am comfortable with most domestic house pets if you have any.
