My name is Kayla I am 27 and I have been working with children for about 15 years. I started keeping my moms friends kids when I was around 12, when I was 13 I was a payed employee in the nursery at the church I grew up in. When I was 14 I got my first “full time” summer job keeping siblings who where 3 and 5. When I was 15 I got a full time job working for a family I stayed with for about four years. Their oldest was 3-5 months old when I started with them and I was there when their youngest was born. Between 20-23 I mostly just did babysitting jobs for people I knew. When I moved back home for 9 months I worked for that same family again. Most recently I worked at a preschool. The age range at the center was Read more infant to 11. Whilst I did work in every room the infant was my favorite and where I spent the majority of my time if I had a say. In Michigan when you wok at a center you have to get CPR certified and to monthly trainings for things like shaking baby syndrome and other related topics.
