I have had two major long term experiences nannying. The first were twins, one boy and one girl from ages 9 months to 3 years. I did this during my time studying Recreation, Parks and Tourism at Kent State University. I also cooked and cleaned for the family as well. I really enjoyed playing, teaching and seeing the children grow up and interact with each other. The second is the most recent and it was for one boy 4 1/2 years old and one girl 7 years old. It was heavily a job bringing them to school everyday- they both went to two different schools. But often times they stayed home sick or had days off where I would be there for the full 10 hours with them. I cooked all of thier meals, and in between driving the children to school and back I would clean the home and Read more meal prep for any other meals. I really enjoyed this age group and we had a blast everyday! I cared for this family for almost 8 months but when it came for the boy to join the girl at her school, the schedule only allowed for a couple hours of driving a day to bring them to school.
