My Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota forms the foundation for my love of all things Early Development and children’s mental health and wellness related. I have worked with children with Autism as an ABA Skills Trainer for 2 years, with children with Oppositional Defiance and other behavioral disorders during my first career after college. In the recent years since the pandemic, my experience in childcare is based in my role as a stay at home mother to my now 8 year old daughter, household manager, avid sourdough baker, and herbalist. It is my sincere intention now to emerge from my home with renewed motivation and capability to contribute to the greater community with my honed caregiving skills, while still learning and growing in a career that challenges and expands upon my knowledge and experience with children. Now that my own daughter is back to school full Read more time and no longer homeschooling with me, I would love to pursue an opportunity to care for infants through elementary aged children as a nanny in the comfort and nurturance of their home setting. I can’t wait to get back to days spent at libraries, parks, baby wearing on nature walks, facilitating tummy time or sensory play, and reading stories and doing crafts! I feel that my experience as a mother and wife in my own home are what have shaped me to now offer my services to other families, as the demands of parenting are not so pressing for me now that my own baby is in school all day! I get what it’s like to be a working parent and to feel like there’s a million balls in the air and you’re the only one keeping it up. It takes a village to raise a child— let me be of assistance so that you can alleviate some pressure and worry, and save your best self for when you’re home with your kids! It would be an honor to be a blessing to your family as a thoughtful and active caregiver. I have much attention to give and a dedication to keeping children and babies engaged with their natural environment and in meaningful connection with others in their day.
