I am a respectable, well educated lady who sadly lost her husband of 34 years this past summer. A fifth generation Californian, I attended universities in CA and studied for a year in Germany and Switzerland. I am a teacher by profession, and have taught German, Spanish, and Humanities in private high schools. I am an English Language Development Specialist and also hold an elementary teaching credential. My mother was a first grade teacher and I enjoyed helping her teach summer school every year. I like to think that I am a creative and resourceful person, and I just might be good at helping students of all ages with their homework! With pleasure we raised our 2 sons and my teenage step children were with us every summer. While attending Jr. College I was a nanny to two young boys. I thoroughly enjoy reading to children, and I have volunteered Read more in kindergarten classrooms as an amateur storyteller. I was also a small business owner before my husband fell ill. It was a business providing tutoring for high school and university students. Although I am not as young as I used to be (!), I have tons of energy and was only ill one day in 2.5 years of caring for my husband almost 24 hours a day. So that's who I am, in a nutshell. Should you feel I may be of service to your fine family, I would look forward to hearing from you. Tenderly caring for others is my calling and joy.
